We serve households who are at or below 300% of the poverty level.

For volunteering, contact Karon Peterson at 651-345-5888 or visit our volunteers page to see if any of the Food Shelf activities are a good fit for your skills and available time. If it’s a good fit we’ll get you signed up, trained in and put you to work helping our neighbors have plenty to eat!
What would i do as a volunteer?
Volunteers help in a number of ways: boxing up and carrying food items to client vehicles at curbside, picking up in-kind donations from corporate donors in Lake City and Red Wing, managing food purchases, raising funds, and maintaining records for accountability purposes. Volunteers must commit to at least three two-hour shifts per month and must be able to lift boxes weighing 40-50 pounds.​
what can i donate and how?
